How can you win big? Honestly, luck has a lot to do with this, but your odds are certainly much higher than at a national sweepstakes. Here are a few tips to help you win when they ask for a certain caller.

Check the website

Check out the contest section of your favorite radio stations website. You will learn:

What they are giving away.
When to expect the cue to call in.
The phone number you will need to call.
You may also learn of any upcoming promotions they will be having.

Program the number in your phone

Be ready! When they ask you to call in, you don’t want to be fumbling with the phone number. Have it programmed in your phone, so you can dial with the push a button.

Call as many radio stations as you can

Who says you have to be a loyal listener of the radio station you are calling? (Ok, ok you probably should be listening to the radio station that is graciously offering up an awesome prize) But hey! You need to call them all to maximize your odds – they won’t know the difference.

Call in for smaller prizes too

Don’t just call in when they are giving away a major prize. Radio stations give smaller prizes away everyday. Call in to win cd’s, movie passes, perhaps a gift certificate to a local restaurant. Not only will these smaller prizes be easier to win (with less people trying to win.), but you will also help prevent a dry spell of no prizes from happening to you!

Be Persistent
